Fabien Chesnais to oversee a portfolio spanning 1,760 rooms
Abu Dhabi’s Yas Plaza Hotels has appointed Fabien Chesnais as General Manager, effective October 2025.
Chesnais will oversee six international hotel brands on Yas Island, taking responsibility for a portfolio that spans 1,760 rooms and 23 award-winning restaurants.
He is also tasked with leading the collection as it transitions into a single integrated resort that will be operated under IHG’s premium Vignette Collection brand.
With a hospitality career spanning more than two decades, Chesnais brings deep experience in leisure properties across the UAE and wider Middle East, from Doha to Dubai, Jordan to Egypt.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a talent for overseeing large-scale operations, launching pre-opening projects, and nurturing high-performing teams.

Most recently, he served as General Manager at Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, where he played a key role in raising the resort’s profile and performance, strengthening its reputation as a standout UAE destination.
An Egyptian national, his leadership style is hands-on, with a proven record of navigating market challenges while prioritising guest satisfaction and operational sustainability.
He is respected throughout the industry as a leader committed to service excellence and team development.
