The usually quiet summer months delivered a surprisingly strong mix of openings and comebacks, led by the long-awaited return of the Waldorf Astoria New York after nearly a decade.
In Europe, The Edinburgh Grand and The Marcus Portrush revived historic landmarks, while the Maybourne Riviera reemerged on the Côte d’Azur with a new wellness focus.
Across the Middle East, Radisson Blu Riyadh Al Sahafa and Rixos Obhur Jeddah expanded Saudi Arabia’s hospitality scene, while Ajman unveiled the eco-luxury Al Zorah Beach Resort.
In Türkiye, Aliée Istanbul debuted on the Golden Horn and the family‑friendly Wyndham Alanya on Antalya’s coast, while in the Maldives, dusitD2 Feydhoo opened as an all‑inclusive newcomer and Niyama Private Islands reopened after a design refresh.

Al Zorah Beach Resort, Ajman, UAE
Formerly The Oberoi Beach Resort, this beachfront property in the UAE’s smallest emirate has reopened as an eco-luxury retreat with 89 rooms, suites, and villas—many featuring private pools—alongside two dining venues, a signature spa, kids’ club, and eco-adventures.

Rixos Obhur Jeddah
As Saudi’s first “true all-inclusive resort experience”, Rixos Obhur Jeddah is located along the shores of Obhur Bay in Jeddah, overlooking the Red Sea and with direct access to a private beach and dedicated yacht marina facilities.
