Facility to teach fine-dining protocols and premium guest engagement
Emirates has unveiled the Emirates Centre of Hospitality Excellence, a state-of-the-art training facility in Dubai set to elevate the skills of nearly 25,000 cabin crew in luxury hospitality.
More than 10,000 crew members are expected to complete training programmes at the centre by the end of the year.
With a AED29.4 million (US$8 million) investment, Emirates has created a sophisticated learning environment that includes a restaurant and lounge for up to 170 guests, presentation kitchens and eight tech-enabled classrooms.
The debut follows the opening of Emirates’ AED500 million (US$135 million) Crew Training Centre earlier this year, which boosted pilot training capacity by 54%.
Training at the cabin crew centre is modelled on Michelin-star standards, featuring a curriculum shaped in partnership with Switzerland’s Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.
Crew members receive instruction in fine dining protocols, premium guest engagement, and table service finesse, complemented by hands-on experience through experiencing a four-course gourmet lunch curated by Emirates’ master chefs.
A culinary hub blends elements of a professional restaurant kitchen with an airline galley, enabling crew to learn plating artistry and service precision.
Running alongside, the ‘Art of Service’ programme hones communication skills, empowering crew to read guest cues, anticipate needs and deliver personalised hospitality.
The centre also offers premium beverage training, including wine tastings and events led by expert sommeliers as part of Emirates’ L’art du vin education programme, launched in mid-2024.
