New routes include launch of premium economy on Dubai-Dusseldorf service
Budget airline Eurowings is expanding its UAE operations with two new routes and six additional weekly flights between German and UAE cities from November 2025, alongside the debut of its new ‘Premium BIZ Seat’, the airline’s take on premium economy for medium-haul travel.
Economy fares will start from Dh429.
The new services will connect Abu Dhabi with Berlin and Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) with Düsseldorf, adding to existing flights from Cologne, Stuttgart and Berlin to Dubai.
This growth brings the low-cost carrier’s total weekly flights between the UAE and five German cities to 31.
The expansion follows Wizz Air’s withdrawal from the Abu Dhabi market and marks a five-fold increase in the Lufthansa Group subsidiary’s Gulf operations since launching three years ago.

From 3 November, Eurowings will operate three weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Berlin on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Departures from Zayed International Airport (AUH) are scheduled for 02:40, arriving in Berlin Brandenburg (BER) at 07:10, with return flights at 21:10, arriving in AUH at 06:05 the next day.
From 13 December, flights from Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Departures will leave DUS at 06:50 and 08:35 (alternating weekly), arriving in DWC at 17:25. Return flights leave DWC at 18:05, landing in DUS at 22:45.
The Dubai–Düsseldorf route will also introduce Eurowings’ new Premium BIZ Seat, a 2x2 seating layout offering generous legroom, adjustable backrests and a guaranteed free middle seat, features more commonly found in long-haul business class.
The airline will gather customer feedback before expanding the concept across its wider network.
Economy fares start from AED 429, while the new premium seats are priced from AED 3,000 one way. All new routes will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft.
“The introduction of non-stop services to five German cities further strengthens our position in the region,” said Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.
“The launch of our new Premium BIZ Seat brings an unmatched level of comfort and privacy to medium-haul travel – at an affordable price point.”
Beyond the UAE, the airline plans to enhance its Middle East presence with additional flights from Stuttgart to Jeddah, expanding on existing Berlin and Cologne services to the Saudi city.
