Reimagined accommodations to feature wraparound verandas and extra storage
Crystal Cruises has revealed the first look at its reimagined suites aboard Crystal Grace, the brand’s first new-build vessel in 25 years. The luxury ocean ship is scheduled for delivery on 31 May 2028, ahead of its inaugural voyage on 11 June. Preview sailings will take place beforehand, with the launch season opening for sale in April 2026.
The all-suite, all-veranda ship will introduce new layout concepts, enhanced storage solutions and several firsts for the brand, including expansive wraparound verandas and an Owner’s Suite category, details of which will be announced soon.
The design of Crystal Grace’s 337 suites has been crafted by Italian architectural firm GEM, with art direction and interior design coordination by Studio Ibsen and inspired by guests themselves, with their preferences, habits and the way they live while at sea informing “every decision we made”, according to Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group.

Accommodation Categories
Crystal Grace will offer six suite categories, all with private verandas ranging from 21 to 115 square metres, with guest rooms offering a 5.3-square-metre veranda, a sitting area with sofa, walk-in shower, and additional overhead storage.
The majority of accommodations will be Aquamarine Veranda Suites, spanning 31 square metres and featuring vanity and sofa areas, with select layouts offering both a shower and bathtub. Some are slightly larger with roomier verandas.
For guests seeking more space, Sapphire Suites on Decks 6 to 9 range from 43 to 50 square metres, complete with separate living and sleeping areas, walk-in closets, dining tables and bathrooms with both showers and bathtubs. Select suites will feature wraparound verandas, expanding open-air living space.
Penthouses Suites and elevated experiences
Two Penthouse Suite categories will top the accommodation offering, each including unlimited speciality dining and complimentary laundry service.
Four Junior Penthouse Suites located midship will span 79 square metres, with residential-style interiors, spacious verandas, walk-in closets and separate living and dining areas. Bathrooms feature a Jacuzzi bath, separate shower and guest powder room. Two of these suites on Deck 8 include large wraparound verandas.
The flagship Penthouse Suite, positioned midship on Deck 6, offers 115 square metres of indoor space with a roomy veranda for entertaining. Interiors include two walk-in closets, separate living and dining rooms, a study and a custom bar, complemented by a Jacuzzi bath and ocean-view shower. Additional penthouse suites on Decks 7 and 9 will also feature wraparound verandas.
Guests in select suite categories – Sapphire, Aquamarine and Penthouse – will also enjoy daily afternoon canapés.
Bernie Leypold, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for Crystal, said: “One of the features we know our guests will love most is the remarkable amount of open-air space, including expansive wraparound verandas in several suite categories. We also focused on creating more intuitive storage throughout, ensuring every item, whether a closet for a world cruise or treasures collected along the way, has a place.”
Penthouse Suite, the largest accommodation on Crystal Grace
Designed for 650 guests based on double occupancy, Crystal Grace will feature multiple world-class dining venues, including Umi Uma – the only Nobu restaurant at sea – along with Beefbar and Osteria d’Ovidio, which showcases menus by the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers. All dining experiences are included in the voyage fare.
Beyond dining, guests can enjoy a full wraparound promenade, extensive entertainment options, and one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in the segment. On shore, Abercrombie & Kent’s network of destination management companies will provide curated experiences and exclusive events in destinations across the globe.
