Move takes airlines’ UK schedule to a record 140 weekly flights
Emirates has introduced a fourth daily service between Dubai and London Gatwick, taking its total UK operations to a record 140 weekly flights across eight gateways. These include Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
With the addition, Emirates now operates 12 daily flights to London – six to Heathrow, four to Gatwick and two to Stansted – as part of its extensive UK network. The enhanced schedule offers greater flexibility and seat availability for both business and leisure travellers.
The new flight departs Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 17:05, arriving at Gatwick Airport (LGW) at 20:50. The return service leaves Gatwick at 23:55 and lands in DXB at 11:00 the following day. The late‑evening departure gives passengers more time in London or Dubai before flying.
Operated by the airline’s latest Airbus A350, the service features 32 lie‑flat Business Class seats arranged in a 1‑2‑1 configuration, along with 28 Premium Economy and 238 Economy Class seats. London Gatwick becomes Emirates’ second UK destination served by the A350 after Edinburgh.

The launch follows the airline’s move to add six weekly Dubai–London Heathrow flights in October, taking the route to 48 weekly services scheduled to operate through the winter season until 28 March 2026. According to reports by The Herald, Emirates is also in discussions to add a second daily service between Dubai and Glasgow later this year, further strengthening its UK footprint.
Demand for travel between the UAE and the UK continues to grow. Dubai welcomed 9.88 million international overnight visitors in the first half of 2025, including 711,000 travellers from the UK, marking a 13% year‑on‑year increase, according to Dubai Tourism.
Other airlines are also expanding capacity between the two markets. British Airways launched a new daily Abu Dhabi–Heathrow service from winter 2025, while Air Arabia will introduce twice‑daily Sharjah–Gatwick flights from 29 March 2026 — the first direct route linking Sharjah and London, with fares starting from AED999.
