Seasonal flights across Europe and the Middle East to start 9 June
Kuwait Airways has revealed plans to launch 11 new seasonal routes from June 2026, in line with rising demand for summer travel, with destinations spanning holiday hotspots across Europe and the Middle East.
The expansion includes two destinations in Egypt (Alexandria and Sharm El Sheikh); three in Turkiye (Antalya, Trabzon and Bodrum); five spanning Europe – including Zurich, Mykonos, Malaga and Vienna, plus Sarajevo – and one Gulf getaway (Salalah in southern Oman).
The new flights will be introduced in phases starting 9 June 2026, beginning with Alexandria, followed by Sharm El Sheikh and Salalah on 10 June, Zurich on 12 June, Mykonos on 14 June, Antalya on 15 June, and Trabzon, Sarajevo and Vienna on 16 June. The rollout concludes with the addition of Bodrum on 17 June.
The airline has also introduced a 15% discount on all economy-class fares to and from Kuwait, valid for bookings made by 15 February, for travel between 25 January and 30 April 2026.

Kuwait Airways’ network expansion aligns with its strategy to capture a larger share of the GCC’s rapidly growing aviation market. It follows the introduction of Kuwait’s new e-visa system and relaxed visit visa regulations designed to drive inbound tourism.
The carrier currently operates flights to more than 60 destinations worldwide from Kuwait International Airport (KWI), which is undergoing a major transformation. Its upcoming US$4.3 billion Terminal 2, designed by Foster + Partners, is on track to open in late 2026, with capacity for 13 million passengers initially, eventually expanding to 50 million annually.
This latest announcement follows the introduction of Kuwait Airways’ new route to Egypt’s Sphinx International Airport, operating three times a week for passengers heading to the Giza Pyramids and the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The airline also became the first in the Middle East to launch a hand-baggage-only economy fare, reinforcing its commitment to delivering flexible travel options across its network.
