The group will open three properties this year, debuting two new brands in the region
Having already launched two new properties in the GCC this year, an Anantara in the UAE and an Avani in Oman, Minor Hotels Group is set to open five more properties across Qatar and the UAE.
SVP of Operations for Minor Hotels in the Middle East & Africa, Amir Golbarg, commented: “Having closed 2021 with a really strong consolidated performance over what was a challenging year, 2022 has started on an equally strong footing as all the countries we are present in get back to normal operations.
“At the same time we continue to expand our footprint and will debut two new brands in the region in the coming months: NH Collection and NH Hotels. In addition, we will soon be announcing upcoming hotels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a country we’ve been looking to expand into.”
The five upcoming properties in Qatar and the UAE, opening between 2022 and 2024, are:
The Plaza Doha Anantara Hotel & Suites, Qatar, opening 2022
