Sonara Camp Al Wadi hopes to repeat the success of the brand’s Dubai outpost

A new ‘glamping’ concept has opened in the Al Wadi Nature Reserve in Ras Al Khaimah.

Following the success of its sister venue in Dubai, this desert hideaway is set on the grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi in Arabian wilderness roamed by herds of oryx and gazelle, and the occasional elusive Arabian Red Fox.

Just a 50-minute drive from Dubai, the seemingly remote camp is easily accessible

The Sunset Package includes appetisers, soft drinks and a range of entertainment and activities including camel rides, sand boarding, volleyball and a sunset falcon show.

Guests opting to stay for the full Sunset and Dinner package will be offered a menu featuring Mediterranean and Arabian dishes. With sustainability at the core of Sonara’s ethos, guests can expect seasonal ingredients and an extensive vegan offering.

Live entertainment follows dinner and younger guests are treated to a movie under the stars with freshly toasted marshmallows.

The Sunset Experience is priced at AED460 for adults and AED160 for children aged six to 12 during high season (October to April) and AED380 for adults and AED120 for children during low season (May to September).

The Sunset and Dinner package is priced at AED860 for adults and AED380 for children aged six to 12 during high season, and AED690 for adults and AED280 for children during low season. All packages are free of charge for children aged five and under.
