Property located in Greater Cairo to offer easy access to key Giza landmarks
UAE-born lifestyle brand Rove Hotels is set to enter the Egyptian market following the signing of an agreement with El Sayyed Group, marking the brand’s debut in the country. The expansion forms part of Rove’s ambitious regional growth strategy, which includes new developments in Oman and Saudi Arabia, and a portfolio of more than 8,000 keys either operating or under development across the Middle East.
The partnership will bring Rove Sheikh Zayed City, a 240-room hotel located just 15 minutes from the Great Pyramids of Giza and the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, in Sheikh Zayed City, a modern, master-planned suburb that forms part of Greater Cairo on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road. The hotel will offer convenient access to Downtown Cairo, major historic attractions and transport links to Alexandria, and will be only 15 minutes from Sphinx International Airport.
Designed for modern travellers, the property will feature an all-day dining venue, The Daily, alongside a swimming pool, gym and co-working spaces. Construction is set to commence in the second half of 2026.
Commenting on the partnership, Khaled El Sayyad, CEO of El Sayyad Group, said the hospitality market in Egypt is increasingly leaning toward “fuss-free, well-designed experiences that prioritise social connectivity and local culture”, and added that collaborating with Rove Hotels is a strategic move to introduce “a proven, disruptive regional brand” to Egypt for the first time.

Paul Bridger, COO of Rove Hotels, added: "Our expansion into Egypt is a natural evolution for the brand as we continue to grow our presence across the region, always with the clear vision of providing high-quality, lifestyle-driven accommodation to the new generation of global travellers."
The Egypt debut follows Rove’s recently announced projects in Saudi Arabia and Oman. In Saudi, the brand is set to open multiple hotels in Riyadh, including its first on Olaya Street. In Oman, Rove is preparing to enter the market with a pipeline across Muscat, Salalah, Duqm and Musandam. The first to open will be Rove Home Muscat Expressway, offering apartment-style accommodation near Muscat Hills, complete with a lap pool, rooftop garden and co-working spaces.
Founded in Dubai as a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding, Rove Hotels continues to expand its footprint. Its most recent opening, Rove Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, features 441 rooms along with leisure amenities such as an outdoor cinema and private beachfront.
