Marriott’s F&B Director for EMEA spent more than 30 years in Dubai
Industry veteran Lynne Bellinger, Director of F&B Business Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Marriott International, has passed away.
In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Bellinger’s family wrote: “It is with deep regret & great sadness to let those of you who don’t already know that Lynne passed away on 17th February after her courageous battle with cancer.”
The message also included details of a memorial service, which will take place at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah on Thursday 26 February at 4pm. “We the family would like to see as many of her friends & colleagues to remember & hear your stories about her," the statement read.
Tributes have been pouring in from friends, colleagues and industry personnel. Alicia Koenig, Vice President of Residential Operations at Marriott International wrote: "My Thoughts and prayers are with her family. She was such an amazing leader!"

Clifford Morgan, Director of Insurance EMEA at Marriott International added: "Sincerest condolences to the family during this difficult time. Lynne was a lovely colleague and a pleasure to work with. She will be remembered."
With a career spanning more than three decades, Bellinger worked across some of Dubai’s leading hotel groups and companies. She began her career at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers in 1994 as Director of Personnel & Training, before moving to One&Only Royal Mirage as Director of Human Resources & Training.
Bellinger later moved into the human resources consultancy sector, working with The Hospitality Company Consultancy, Purple Cubed and Purple Hospitality, from 2002 to 2017. She returned to hotel operations in 2017 when she joined Marriott International, taking on a regional role overseeing F&B development.
