Bollywood actress to front brand’s wellbeing campaigns
JW Marriott has appointed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as its global brand ambassador, with the Bollywood actress set to lead international campaigns promoting the brand’s wellbeing-focused ‘Stay in the Moment’ platform.
Rai Bachchan will feature across film, print and digital activations, as well as curated brand experiences in India and selected international markets.
Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott, said: “Aishwarya brings a thoughtful, grounded presence that reflects the way our guests seek to travel – with intention and a sense of connection. As we continue to expand in India and across markets shaped by Indian travellers, this collaboration reinforces our commitment to celebrating presence as the ultimate in luxury experiences.”
Rai Bachchan said: “The most meaningful experiences are often the quietest ones, when you are fully aware of where you are and who you are with. JW Marriott’s philosophy of being present and in the moment speaks to that awareness.”

The partnership comes as India continues to emerge as a key growth market for luxury travel, driven by rising demand for premium domestic experiences and increasing outbound travel among affluent consumers. Marriott currently operates more than 130 JW Marriott properties worldwide, with India among the brand’s fastest-growing markets and strongest development pipelines.
The move follows a wider trend of hospitality brands partnering with high-profile athletes, entertainers and cultural figures to strengthen brand positioning and connect with luxury travellers. Earlier this year, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts appointed footballer Kylian Mbappé as its first Wellness Ambassador, while Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group named Simone Biles its first Global Wellness Ambassador.
The trend reflects growing demand for wellness-focused travel, with the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) forecasting the wellness tourism market to reach US$1.4 trillion by 2027 as travellers increasingly seek experiences centred on wellbeing, mindfulness and personal development.
