Tourism Economics data shows unprecedented tech-generated industry growth
The role of Artificial intelligence (AI) in travel planning continues to grow across the UAE with 60% of travellers now relying on AI to organise their trips, according to data from Tourism Economics.
The trend reflects a rising digital transformation across the global travel industry, which is projected to exceed US$2.3 trillion by 2032, with digital tools reshaping both industry operations and consumer experience.
At the destination level in the UAE, Abu Dhabi-based leisure and entertainment company Miral Group’s Majd AI platform is being used at attractions such as Yas Bay Waterfront and Ferrari World to offer tailored suggestions to visitors based on real-time guest preferences.
Tools such as Sabre’s SynXis Concierge AI are also helping hotels meet user demand by providing instant, accurate answers to guests’ queries, reducing reliance on individual staff expertise while ensuring consistent service delivery.
