Agreement with Air Algérie increases network reach and travel rewards in Africa
Qatar Airways has unlocked six new destinations across Algeria through an expanded codeshare agreement with Air Algérie, reinforcing its Africa growth strategy and further enhancing global connectivity through Hamad International Airport.
Passengers can now book seamless connections from Doha to Annaba, Constantine, Oran, Tamanrasset, Timimoun and Tindouf, in addition to established direct flights to Algiers, which remains an existing entry point for the airline.
The newly introduced codeshare services are available now, with travel beginning 15 November 2025.
Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club members will earn Avios on Air Algérie-operated codeshare routes, while Air Algérie passengers gain easier access to major destinations in Asia and the Middle East, including Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Muscat, through Doha’s award-winning hub.
With this deal, Qatar Airways now enjoys 30 interline and six codeshare agreements in Africa, operating 213 weekly flights to 30 cities in 21 countries.

Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori described the partnership as a “long and fruitful partnership” that will further strengthen ties across the continent, adding that the agreement will soon be expanded to include additional destinations.
This expansion is part of Qatar Airways’ broader global growth.
Earlier this year, the airline added 18 destinations across the US and South America through enhanced codeshare agreements with Aer Lingus and Level. New connections include 11 US cities, such as Boston and Las Vegas, via Dublin, and seven additional destinations in the US and South America – including Santiago and Buenos Aires – via Barcelona.
Qatar Airways also recently expanded its partnership with China Southern Airlines, operating a total of 64 weekly flights to eight gateways in Greater China.
The airline also partners with IAG carriers British Airways, Iberia and Vueling.
Qatar Airways operates flights to more than 170 destinations worldwide through its Doha hub, including both direct and codeshare routes, with its network among the largest globally.
