Design-led waterfront property includes eight dining venues and a focus on wellness
Rosewood Hotel Group has officially opened Rosewood Doha, marking the brand’s debut in Qatar and its third property in the Middle East. The new five-star waterfront hotel brings 217 luxury keys to Lusail, Qatar’s visionary ‘city of the future’, located 20km north of Doha.
The official opening celebration, featuring live performances and a curated evening programme, was attended by HE Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of Qatar’s Al Thani family, and HE Saad Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism.
Designed by acclaimed architect Ibrahim Jaidah, known for his role in shaping Doha’s modern skyline, Rosewood Doha features a coral-inspired façade that echoes the patterns of the Arabian Gulf. Inside, interiors by Lilian Wu Studio take cues from dhow boats and seashells, showcasing natural textures and Qatari craftsmanship.
Curated artwork throughout the property narrates the country’s landscapes and cultural stories, including pieces sourced from the National Museum of Qatar.

The hotel offers 155 rooms and suites across five categories, each with views of the Arabian Gulf or Lusail City. Suites feature marble bathrooms with double rain showers and bespoke chinaware by Qatari artist Ghada Al Khater. The signature Reef Suite, spanning 171 square metres, includes a living and dining area, pantry kitchen, and 24-hour butler service offering bespoke amenities, from in-room dining to personalised packing and unpacking.
For longer stays, 162 serviced apartments – available in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts – provide residents with access to hotel facilities, including pools, fitness centre and exclusive lounge. Completing the development are 276 private residences, each with its own entrance designed to ensure discretion and comfort.
Rosewood Doha is home to eight dining venues, each showcasing thoughtful sourcing and local partnerships. Highlights include Mila, a 24-hour Levantine brasserie featuring a wood-fired oven; Koo Madame, a fine-dining Chinese restaurant; and Asaya Kitchen, which champions oceanic, wellness-focused dining with ingredients sourced from Qatar’s Blessed Land Farm.
Adding to Rosewood’s celebrated culinary heritage, The Butterfly Pâtisserie serves handcrafted pastries and Arabic sweets, accompanied by The Butterfly Room, where afternoon tea continues a brand tradition established in Hong Kong and Paris. Guests can also unwind at Stoke and Stoker, a cocktail bar capturing the glamour of the Golden Age of travel, or Sikar, an elegant cigar lounge with a dedicated sommelier.
Anchoring the hotel’s wellness offering is Asaya Doha, the brand’s holistic wellbeing concept and the first-of-its-kind in Qatar. Facilities include hydrotherapy suites, sound healing sessions, movement practices, and bespoke wellness programmes.
Elsewhere, three outdoor pools and a padel court provide additional recreation options for guests. For events, the property features a grand ballroom, Bridal House, The Pavilion, and Majlis, catering to high-profile gatherings and private functions. A private car lift ensures discreet arrivals for VIP guests.
Rosewood currently operates three properties in the region — in Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Doha — with a robust pipeline that includes upcoming hotels and resorts in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman. Two Rosewood resorts are scheduled to debut on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast in 2026: wellness-focused Rosewood Amaala at Triple Bay and Rosewood Red Sea on Shura Island.
The brand will make its Dubai debut in 2029, with a 195-key beachfront hotel property on Dubai Peninsula, a new ultra-luxury waterfront destination along the Jumeirah coastline.
