Silversea introduces charter flights for Galápagos Islands cruises
Elevated service cuts journey times and offers upgraded amenities
Silversea has made visiting the Galápagos Islands “more accessible and seamless” with the introduction of exclusive charter flights, offering guests a more direct route between Quito and San Cristóbal Island.
The new service removes the need for a layover in Guayaquil, cutting journey times to just two hours, which means passengers spend less time in transit and have more time to relax, explore and enjoy their pre-cruise and onboard experiences.
Reserved exclusively for guests sailing aboard Silver Origin to the Galápagos Islands, the flights include private check-in, enhanced in-flight meal service with a selection of beverages, plus additional space thanks to blocked middle seats.
Travellers can extend their trip with pre- and post-cruise stays in Quito, taking advantage of curated tours and hotel options that allow for deeper exploration of Ecuador’s capital.
Commenting on the launch, Bert Hernandez, President at Silversea, said: “We always put the guest at the center of everything we do, creating opportunities for deeper connections to the destination and this is one more way we’re leveraging our deep expedition and destination expertise to further elevate the Silversea experience."
Silversea’s year-round Galápagos Islands’ itineraries range from seven to 14 nights, with at least 26 departures planned for 2025 and 2026.
These voyages include visits to both the north-central and western islands, with new stops including Isla Lobos and Bahia Bowditch expanding the range of experiences on offer.

Once in the Galápagos, Silver Origin serves as the base for discovery, featuring 50 all-suite accommodations with butler service and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the archipelago’s dramatic landscapes.
