UAE travel agent records 50% spike in outbound demand

Enquiries for international travel over Eid and summer on the rise

According to online travel agency Musafir.com, there’s currently a 50% rise in inquiries for travel from UAE residents ahead of the Eid holiday and summer season.

As regulations ease and travellers begin to visit overseas destinations again, the agency is meeting the pent-up demand for travel with a curated selection of packages to various destinations, including Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan and Phuket in Thailand.

The deals available for summer and Eid travel include airport transfers, flights, insurance, breakfast, free visa application and entrance to a selection of local attractions.

Speaking about the summer travel spike, Musafir.com COO Raheesh Babu said: “There is a strong desire among travellers to take big bucket-list trips this year, particularly to safer and closer international destinations. We have worked with our partners to offer packages to these eight destinations, which include Georgia, Baku, Serbia, Armenia, Turkey, Kenya, Phuket and Bishkek.”

Musafir allows users to book flights and hotel stays, and arrange visas and insurance for more than 50 destinations worldwide.

In addition, it provides a flexible rescheduling policy, allowing customers to modify their travel packages free of charge up to six working days before departure with a customer care team on hand to assist 24 hours a day.
