Travel Counsellors CEO Steve Byrne announced a record year for the company

More than 1,500 delegates gathered in Liverpool, UK, for Travel Counsellors’ annual global conference, including a strong UAE contingent celebrating the brand’s continued momentum in the region.

Held from 7–9 November at ACC Liverpool under the theme ‘Your Story, Our Journey’, the three-day event brought together franchisees, partners, suppliers and support teams from across the company’s international network for learning, collaboration and recognition.

Travel Counsellors CEO Steve Byrne announced a record year for the company, reporting global revenue of £1.09 billion year to date and a 7% growth in bookings compared to the previous year. The UAE community, which surpassed 100 active business owners for the first time, achieved a 16% year-on-year increase in sales.

The conference programme combined education, inspiration and celebration, including a gala dinner where Stephen Kumar was named Top Travel Counsellor UAE.

Interactive sessions drew large participation across topics such as ‘Double Your Business’, ‘Daily AI Habits’ and ‘Supercharge Socials’, offering practical tools to support growth and digital engagement.

Speakers from within and outside the organisation shared insights into leadership, innovation and the evolving role of technology in enhancing travel planning and customer relationships.

One of the event’s highlights was the announcement of the global rollout of TC Co-Pilot, the company’s new AI assistant designed exclusively for Travel Counsellors following a successful trial with more than 120 franchise owners.

The tool enables business owners to build bespoke itineraries in minutes, research hotels and local experiences, create marketing content and manage social media more efficiently, while also adding personal touches such as customised packing lists and dining recommendations.

Commenting on the event, UAE General Manager Holly McCann said: “Our global annual conference is always one of the most important moments in our calendar, and this year was no exception. ‘Your Story, Our Journey’ celebrated the people who make Travel Counsellors so special and the unforgettable experiences they create for clients around the world.

“It was a chance to celebrate our achievements and look ahead to the exciting opportunities and growth we foresee for 2026.”

The global event followed Travel Counsellors’ UAE conference in September, which brought together a record 100 regional advisors and more than 50 supplier partners for a day of connection, education and local market focus.

Globally, there are 2,300 Travel Counsellors agents.
