Flydubai to launch new flights to Iran this September

Carrier to fly to Iranian resort Kish Island and the historic city of Kerman

Low-cost airline Flydubai will add direct flights to two new destinations in Iran from September 2024.

The Dubai-based carrier will begin a four-times-weekly service to Kish Island from 7 September along with a bi-weekly service to Kerman from 9 September.

A free trade zone, Kish Island is billed as "a consumer's paradise", with multiple shopping centres, as well as tourist attractions and resort hotels, while Kerman is home to many historic mosques and Zoroastrian fire temples, a place of worship for the followers of Zoroastrianism, the ancient religion of Persia. 

Flights to Kish International Airport (KIH) will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The service will depart Dubai at 7:15am, arriving at Kish Island at 7:55am. The return flights will leave at 8:55am and arrive back in Dubai at 10:25am.

Flights to Kerman International Airport (KER) will operate on Monday and Thursday.The service to Kerman departs Dubai at 12:55pm, arriving at KIH at 1:55pm, with the return service leaving Kerman at 2:55pm and arriving back in the Emirates at 5pm.

The new destinations further bolster the airline’s reach, which expanded with daily services to Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan launching on 1 July.
