Adrena to offer more than 20 activities, from cliff diving to wakeboarding
Red Sea Global (RSG) is set to expand the offering at its flagship regenerative tourism destination on Saudi Arabia’s western coastline with the launch of Adrena, a new adventure and entertainment district opening on 1 March 2026.
Designed for thrill-seekers and families alike, Adrena will provide Red Sea guests with more than 20 land and water-based activities both during the day and at night, from surfing and wakeboarding to cliff diving and skateboarding. The opening marks another milestone for RSG, which currently operates nine luxury hotels across The Red Sea destination, including SLS, Edition and InterContinental properties, and recently became the first destination in the world to be verified by Forbes Travel Guide.
Inspired by the words ‘adrenaline’, ‘arena’ and ‘dream’, Adrena is set within an “unspoiled and natural environment” just a short drive from Shura Island, part of an island archipelago surrounded by the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef and featuring a yacht marina, championship golf course and 11 resorts, once complete.
At the heart of the new adventure district lies Saudi’s largest saltwater surf pool, a 215-metre lagoon capable of producing customisable waves of up to 2.1 metres, catering to surfers of all abilities. The site also features a wakeboarding lake, snorkelling trails and a six-metre-deep diving pool, alongside family-friendly attractions such as a children’s waterplay zone and an inflatable floating obstacle course.
Land-based facilities include a skatepark, BMX pump track and beach sports areas for football and volleyball. For those seeking more extreme adventure, Adrena offers an overwater zip line and a 10-metre-high ‘slip ’n’ fly’ water slide. All experiences are managed by a team of certified instructors and guides.
In the evenings, Adrena transforms into a lively social hub. Guests can unwind at a beach club and infinity pool with live music programming, South American-inspired cuisine and craft mocktails served against a backdrop of sunset views over the Red Sea.
Accessibility and sustainability remain central to Adrena’s design. The district incorporates zero-depth pool entries and adaptable options for bodyboarding, paddleboarding and diving, ensuring inclusive experiences for all guests. Its seawater system operates on a closed-loop, filtering and recycling water through the attractions before returning it pristine to the sea, in line with RSG’s commitment to regenerative tourism development.
