The First Group, a Dubai-based global property developer, has introduced The First Collection, a new lifestyle brand that encompasses the firm’s hospitality, F&B and leisure portfolio.
The launch of the First Collection marks a pivotal moment in the company’s trajectory. The First Group currently has a portfolio of 11 properties, including Wyndham Dubai Marina, Millennium Place Marina and TRYP by Wyndham Dubai, with seven properties in the pipeline. The majority of these new projects will launch under The First Collection banner and a selection of The First Group’s existing properties are set to be reflagged under the new brand over the coming months.
Speaking about this new phase in the company’s evolution, The First Group chief executive officer Rob Burns said: “The First Collection brings our assets together under one sophisticated brand, providing a platform for the development of exciting lifestyle experiences that leverage our core strengths while providing investors new opportunities to further capitalise on our long-term growth plans.”

Signalling its commitment to growing its hospitality portfolio, The First Group has appointed a highly experienced team to oversee the long-term development of The First Collection’s hotel and F&B portfolio. David Thomson, a renowned hotelier who spent two decades stewarding the rise of the Dubai-based JA Resorts & Hotels, will serve as vice president of TFG Hotel Management, and internationally acclaimed restaurateur Mark Patten, who previously managed F&B for Atlantis The Palm and Harrods of London, will oversee The First Collection dining and entertainment division as vice president of Food & Beverage.
