Dubai-based Andy Cuthbert brings more than 30 years of experience in hospitality
Jumeirah Group has appointed Andy Cuthbert as General Manager for Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Madinat Jumeirah Conference and Events, overseeing the spaces for some of Dubai’s most prominent hospitality and meetings destinations.
In his expanded role, Cuthbert will lead the combined conference and events teams across both properties, including the iconic Godolphin Ballroom at Emirates Towers and the city’s largest resort conference destination at Madinat Jumeirah.
A seasoned hotelier with more than three decades of experience in hospitality, events and F&B management, Cuthbert has been with Jumeirah for 25 years.
His previous leadership positions include serving as General Manager of Jumeirah Creekside Hotel and Jumeirah Hospitality at Madinat Jumeirah, where he managed large-scale catering and event operations.

He has also held key roles at Mina A’Salam, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, where he was instrument in shaping the group’s culinary and events strategies.
Outside his operational leadership, Cuthbert is recognised globally for his contributions to the culinary community.
He currently serves as President of Worldchefs – the World Association of Chefs’ Societies – and has played an instrumental role in mentoring young chefs through his long-standing involvement with the Emirates Culinary Guild.
Cuthbert began his career with Jumeirah in 2000 as Executive Chef, following three years with Hilton.
Jumeirah Emirates Towers offers one of Dubai’s most versatile event portfolios, featuring the 1,000-capacity Godolphin Ballroom, 13 meeting rooms, executive boardrooms, luxury suites and The Terrace for outdoor gatherings.
Meanwhile, Madinat Jumeirah includes The Arena, which accommodates up to 4,500 guests, the 1,700-capacity Joharah Ballroom and a dedicated Conference Centre with multiple function spaces.
According to the latest data from the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Dubai continues to lead the Middle East and Africa for the number of association meetings hosted and ranks among the top global destinations for delegate attendance.
This year saw Dubai retain its number one ranking in the Middle East and Africa for the total number of association meetings hosted, while ranking globally for highest per-meeting attendance according to data published by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
