Former Banyan Tree GM Bhavesh Rawal to oversee Ashar Valley portfolio
Saudi Arabia’s Our Habitas AlUla has promoted Bhavesh Rawal to Area General Manager, putting him in strategic charge of operations at the hotel and across the entire Ashar Valley portfolio.
This includes Caravan by Our Habitas, an immersive glamping retreat featuring Airstream caravans, as well as desert sanctuary Banyan Tree AlUla, and architectural landmark Maraya, recognised as the world’s largest mirrored building.
A seasoned hospitality professional, Rawal is no stranger to the Ashar Valley properties, having spent the last six months as GM at Banyan Tree AlUla, where he oversaw daily operations, financial performance and strategic alignment.
In his expanded role, Rawal is now tasked with amplifying the unique identity of each of the properties while ensuring synergies across the valley, positioning the Ashar Valley as a destination where luxury meets cultural authenticity and nature-driven hospitality.

With more than 25 years of luxury hospitality experience in the Middle East and Canada, Rawal brings a wealth of expertise in leadership, strategic growth and delivering great guest experiences.
Prior to Banyan Tree AlUla, the former chef held multiple roles at Dubai properties including Burj Al Arab, Grand Hyatt, Madinat Jumeirah, JW Marriott and Aloft, and his knowledge of F&B operations has shaped his leadership style.
As Cluster Hotel Manager for Marriott International, looking after Le Meridien, Aloft Al Mina and Element Al Mina, Rawal managed a portfolio of 1,280 rooms across Dubai, increasing profitability while enhancing operational efficiency.
He has an extensive track record of driving operational excellence, brand elevation and sustainable growth.
