EMiRGE aims to cultivate UAE nationals for leadership roles
Hilton Hotels in Abu Dhabi has unveiled a new career development initiative, the Emirati Grow and Evolve Programme (EMiRGE), designed to prepare local talent for leadership roles in the hospitality sector. Supporting the nation’s Emiratisation goals, the programme is now live and actively recruiting candidates.
EMiRGE guides participants through a structured ‘learner-to-leader’ journey over two years, which includes five key phases: learning, specialisation, project, shadowing and mastering.
The programme begins with foundational skills training, then advances to specialised learning and hands-on project work. Towards the end, participants gain direct exposure by shadowing senior executives, preparing them to transition confidently into leadership roles upon completion.
In addition to leadership development, participants receive allowances and access to Hilton University for role-specific learning. Team members also benefit from Hilton’s travel programme, which offers discounted stays across the brand’s global portfolio.

The EMiRGE initiative was officially launched at a career fair held at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, where attendees explored potential career paths across Hilton brands in operations, guest experience, commercial functions, IT, HR and engineering.
“At Hilton, we believe in unlocking the potential of every individual,” said Nader Halim, Cluster General Manager for Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, The WBTM Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences.
“Being recognised as the #1 World’s Best Workplace inspires us to continue providing Emirati youth with a nurturing environment, meaningful opportunities, and the guidance they need to flourish as future leaders in hospitality.”
Youth career development remains an integral part of the Hilton brand. The hospitality group launched an Open Doors policy in 2014, aiming to employ 1 million young professionals globally by 2019. The company has since surpassed this goal and continues to launch programs such as EMiRGE or its past Passport to Success life-skills programme to support these initiatives.
