Boutique property designed to encourage “calm, connection and wellbeing”
The company behind the master development of the UAE’s Heart of Europe project, Kleindienst Group, is set to open the Hygge Hotel on the World Islands, Dubai in the UAE in January 2026.
The 96-room boutique hotel will join a handful of properties on The Heart of Europe, a luxury destination located 6km from the mainland and comprising six islands, each inspired by a European country.
The AED18.3 billion project will eventually have 20 hotels and resorts with more than 5,000 keys.
Bringing a brand-new concept to the islands and to the UAE, Hygge Hotel will be centered around the Scandinavian philosophy of ‘hygge’, celebrating contentment, simplicity and quiet joy and will be designed to offer guests a “deep sense of comfort, calm and connection”.
Interiors will be crafted from soft textures, natural materials and warm lighting, while cosy corners and communal lounges will be spotted throughout.
There will be 96 rooms and four distinct restaurants, each focused on seasonal ingredients, while wellness offerings will include saunas, quiet rituals, and peaceful environments.
The design, led by HWKN Architecture, will leverage AI-driven research to shape spaces that are both emotionally resonant and future-focused.
Commenting on the launch, Josef Kleindienst, Founder and Chairman of Kleindienst Group said: “At Kleindienst Group, we believe true luxury is emotional and Hygge Hotel is where that emotion is embraced, nurtured and brought to life through thoughtful, human-centred hospitality.”
