Nawaf Hasan to oversee Grand Mercure and ibis Styles properties
Accor has promoted Nawaf Hasan to Cluster General Manager for Grand Mercure Dubai City and ibis Styles Dubai Airport, where he will oversee all aspects of operations across both high-performing properties. His expanded remit includes driving continued excellence, elevating tailored service and advancing innovation across the two Dubai hotels.
Hasan steps up from his previous position as Cluster Hotel Manager, a role he has held for the past 18 months, during which he led operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, service standards and team performance.
Among his key achievements, he launched a centralised cross-property task force to manage overflow capacity, delivering a 20% uplift in occupancy during peak periods. He also initiated a guest-centric digital feedback system across both hotels, enabling real-time guest sentiment tracking and increasing guest satisfaction by 25%.
With 23 years’ experience in hospitality, mainly within the UAE, Hasan has worked with world-class brands including Accor, Fairmont, Radisson and Anantara. At Fairmont Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road, he led a team of more than 200 across hotel operations, introducing a monthly recognition programme for frontline teams that boosted motivation and reduced absenteeism by 25%.

He began his hospitality journey as a Restaurant Supervisor at Kempinski Dead Sea in Jordan, building a strong operational foundation that supports his current leadership style.
Fluent in Arabic, English and German, Hasan says he brings “cross-cultural awareness and real-world hospitality leadership” to every property he touches.
Commenting on his promotion in a LinkedIn post, Hasan said the appointment is more than just a title change, representing years of “dedication, learning, challenges, and growth”, and reflecting a journey “shaped by trust, responsibility, and an unwavering belief in people, teamwork, and purpose”.
